What Cobweb Did for the Mcnally Design Group

Website Design: In approx. 2003 we were approached by McNally Design to redesign The Irish Pub Company website and to design the McNally Design website. The Irish Pub Company site was required to have a traditional "Irish" look and feel while the McNally site was required to be more modern and stylish.

Both sites were designed within the same time period - the McNally Design site was built using Flash and the Irish Pub Company we were careful to redesign whilst hopefully not affecting their existing traffic levels. They already had quite a high profile on the internet whereas the McNally Design website was being created from scratch.

After a period it was decided to redesign the McNally site as an HTML website because the existing Flash site was perhaps a little too slow to load (on 56K Modems), not easy to maintain or change and it just did not show up on search engines e.g. Google.

It became the "white site" you see to the right, but this became too big and needed to be easier to navigate and have a better structure. Hence the site that exists today which has a stylish colour and structure with a menu to make navigation easy. The site shows up very well for a variety of important keywords and phrases on Google and in fact gets more traffic than the Irish Pub Company website which had a 3-year headstart on the Internet.

Website Design & Brand Identity: We were then asked to design a new website for McBuild a new division of the McNally Design Group. This is the distinctive "orange" site with the architect in the hard hat.

Print: We have produced Factsheets and converted McNally Design newsletter articles into PDFs suitable for print. If you are gathering content for your website why not produce a Print brochure or flyer too?

3D Walk Throughs & Flash Animation: McNally Design produce 3D walkthroughs in the early stages of a consultation with a client. This means that their client was able to visualise the final design and layout without making expensive mistakes in the building stage. Made originally in 3D Studio Max, we converted many of these walkthroughs into Flash for use on the Internet.
